RIVAL SONS TO ROCK “LOPEZ TONIGHT” ON TUESDAY, AUGUST 9

August 8, 2011 – Los Angeles, CA – In celebration of the release of their new album, Pressure and Time, Los Angeles based rock revivalists RIVAL SONS will be performing their critically heralded new single/title track “Pressure and Time” live on TBS’ hit show “LOPEZ TONIGHT” at 12:00AM ET/PT on Tuesday, August 9.
Called “America’s best new band” by Classic Rock magazine, Rival Sons’ trajectory into rock stardom continues to gain momentum with their debut performance on late night television.  Featured as a recommended song in the current issue of Entertainment Weekly, “Pressure and Time” is the band’s raucous new single that has created a whirlwind of buzz from Los Angeles to London.
“Pressure and Time” was recently selected by iTunes as their highly sought after “free single of the week” and the band’s video for the track also won mtvU’s trendsetting video competition “The Freshman.”
Above all else, Rival Sons’ soulful, blues-infused rock ‘n’ roll speaks for itself.  And fans around the world are listening.  Before word had even spread about the band in the US, Rival Sons had already become one of the hottest bands in Europe, a rare feat that few bands have accomplished before them.  Following the release of Pressure and Time in the UK, Rival Sons were nominated for “Best New Band” and “Best Album” for the 2011 Classic Rock Awards being held this November in London, England.  As their triumph in Europe continues, Rival Sons are hard at work on becoming rock’s next big band in the US.
Rival Sons recently wrapped up a UK tour with rock gods Judas Priest and Queensryche and will be announcing a massive fall tour in the coming days.
