In a note posted to fans at www.ourladypeace.com, the group writes, “We feel that this is our most compelling recording since we formed this band. It’s the record we’ve been trying to make for many years now. We now understand that the struggle to get here was not in vain.” More details about the new album, which is currently being recorded with producer Jason Lader in Toronto and Los Angeles, will be released in the New Year.
The initial reaction to “Heavyweight” has been swift and strong. Some programmers were so eager for new Our Lady Peace music that they purchased “Heavyweight” on iTunes and played it on their stations in advance of the song being formally serviced to radio.

Individually they have contributed to charities worldwide in support of human and animal rights, world peace, education and the environment.
