JDEVIL JOINS ROB ZOMBIE AND MARILYN MANSON ON “TWINS OF EVIL” TOUR LAUNCHING SEPTEMBER 28 RELEASING DEBUT EP ON DIM MAK

Posted in All Metal, Artist Watch, New Music, News, Releases with tags , , , , , , , , on August 1, 2012 by Randy

JDEVIL, the nefarious DJ alter ego of legendary KORN frontman Jonathan Davis, has joined forces with Marilyn Manson and Rob Zombie on their co-headlining “Twins of Evil” U.S. tour launching September 28.  JDEVIL will perform DJ sets packed with his brand of chaotic electro-metal. This news comes on the heels of JDEVIL’s recent signing with cutting-edge label Dim Mak for the release of his debut EP (details TBA).

“I like to think of JDEVIL as the ‘anti-christ’ of EDM,” says Davis. ”To play alongside Zombie and Manson is going to be a f**king sinister night all around, and an unbelievable theatrical experience. I can’t wait.”

On August 7, prior to the kick off of the “Twins of Evil” tourMondo Sex Head, an album featuring new and unique remixes of Rob Zombie classics by some of today’s top producers/DJs, will be released (Universal Music Enterprises/UMe) featuring JDEVIL’s remix of White Zombie’s “Thunder Kiss ‘65” (J-Devil Number of the Beast Remix). It is available now on iTuneshttp://bit.ly/MqcA3u.

DJing since Davis was 16 years old (years before he was to ever become one of the most notorious faces in rock),JDEVIL has created a sound that is a natural progression from KORN’s tenth offering, 2011’s The Path of Totality. The album saw the band collaborate with dubstep pioneers Skrillex, 12th Planet, Datsik, Excision, Downlink, Kill the Noise, Noisia and Feed Me. It yielded two hit singles with Skrillex“Get Up!” and “Narcissistic Cannibal,” along with Kill the Noise on the latter, and was met with critical and fan adoration.   In the meantime, he unleashed his first formal remix, a gut wrenchingly catchy take on Hollywood Undead’s “Hear Me Now,” released as part of American Tragedy Redux.

JDEVIL is another side of the enigmatic singer who thrives on chaos and contradictions. He may reside in the darkest corners of Davis’ psyche, but he’s always ready to party.  He may be spinning dance music on stage, but he lets out catastrophic screams at all the right moments. He may have black eyes and teeth, but he’s as close to Davis heart as it gets. His DJ sets opens up the door to the ultimate celebration inside of the inferno. Are you ready?

Hyro Da Hero’s “Birth, School. Work, Death” OUT NOW

Posted in Artist Watch, New Music, News, Releases, Reviews with tags , , , , , , on July 31, 2012 by Randy

HYRO!!!  Where the F have you been!  Finally.  Something refreshing…revitalizing the rap/rock game…and as referenced by Hyro Da Hero himself….its a new GANGSTA ROCK GENRE.

HDH can’t be compared to anyone else, he’s that original.  But…if you had to…it’s a blender full of Rage Against the Machine, Gorillaz, Incubus, and a touch of Lil Wayne’s Rebirth.  But fresh…whitty…true…and a slap in your face saying, “Get the fuck up!  Bounce!  Rock the fuck out!”  Oh yeah…Hyro is the first and only known artist to play 3 separate stages at the Download Festival in the same year (2011).   His first major debut, Birth, School, Work, Death is out now.  You’d be a damn fool not to get it (click on the image).  Also, you can catch Hyro Da Hero on the 2012 Vans Warped Tour at a City near you.

Key tracks:  The World’s Stage, Sleeping Giants, A Conversation with Hip Hop

THE KOTTONMOUTH KINGS REUNITE WITH SAINT DOG ON THEIR NEW ALBUM, MILE HIGH – OUT AUGUST 14th

Posted in All Metal, Artist Watch, New Music, News, Releases with tags , , , , , on July 17, 2012 by Randy

New Solo Track From Johnny Richter “Good Pot 2” Available Online, Summer Tour Dates

To mark the release of the group’s thirteenth studio album, Mile High (out August 14th), the Kottonmouth Kings have reunited with Saint Dog, the original emcee who appeared on the group’s debut album and spit his lispy rhymes on classic songs such as “Suburban Life” and “Bump.”  Saint Dog recorded the explosive new track “Judgment Day,” which sees him ripping it up with the Kings for the first time since 1998’s Royal Highness.

“D-Loc had a song idea and thought it would be cool to get Saint Dog on it. We flew Saint out from Minnesota and just started vibing on music together and reviving that musical chemistry we had together,” commented Brad X. “We initially just went in to record just the one track, but once we got in the studio together we just started banging out songs and came out with six new songs. I think it was really therapeutic for all of us and it was a great creative spark on this record.”

Pre-order your copy of Mile High with limited-edition artwork now by going to the following link – http://bit.ly/IX7NlM

While in the studio for Mile High, The Kings own Johnny Richter recorded a new solo track titled “Good Pot 2.”  The track is online for fans to listen to as they anxiously await the full album from The Kings.  Check out the song at http://bit.ly/LRDW28.

To celebrate the release of their most potent album to date, the Kottonmouth Kings are taking their mind bending brand of rip-hop on the road for one of the most anticipated underground packages this year, The Mile High Tour. The Kings enlisted horror master Prozak, underground heavyweight Big B, and country hip-hop misfits the Moonshine Bandits.  See below for dates.
