GREEN DAY IN THE STUDIO RECORDING THREE ALBUMS – A TRILOGY ENTITLED ¡UNO!, ¡DOS!, AND ¡TRÉ! :::: ALBUMS TO BE RELEASED FROM SEPTEMBER 2012 TO JANUARY 2013

LOS ANGELES, CA – April 11, 2012 – Green Day is currently in the studio recording three albums – a trilogy entitled ¡Uno!, ¡Dos!, and ¡Tré! – that will be released by Reprise Records on Tuesday, September 25th 2012; Tuesday, November 13th 2012 and Tuesday, January 15th 2013 respectively.   The albums are the follow-up to the Grammy®Award-winning 21st Century Breakdown, and are being produced by the band’s long-time producer Rob Cavallo.   ¡Uno!, ¡Dos!, and ¡Tré! are being recorded in their hometown of Oakland, CA. 

“We are at the most prolific and creative time in our lives.  This is the best music we’ve ever written, and the songs just keep coming,” said the members of Green Day. “Instead of making one album, we are making a three album trilogy.  Every song has the power and energy that represents Green Day on all emotional levels.  We just can’t help ourselves… We are going epic as fuck!”

Green Day is scheduled to play several music festivals this summer.  Confirmed dates are listed below with more to be added.

My Darkest Day’s newest album, Sick and Twisted Affair, has officially been released and is available in stores and on iTunes now!  With the release of their second album on Mercury Records, SICK AND TWISTED AFFAIR, featuring the #1 iTunes Rock Song “Casual Sex,” Toronto band My Darkest Days has announced two additional weeks on the road with Nickelback on their North American“Here and Now Tour 2012”. The album is currently streaming in it’s entirety on the bands official website.

 The first leg of the 48-city “Here and Now Tour 2012,” also starring Bush and Seether, will open April 10th at the i wireless Center in Moline, IL, and wrap up June 26th at Rogers Arena in Vancouver, B.C.  After a 3-week break, the tour resumes on July 14th at Hersheypark Stadium in Hershey, PA, with dates scheduled through July 30th at Time Warner Cable Music Pavilion in Raleigh, NC.   (Please see complete tour itinerary below; please check with local venue for ticket sale dates.)
 
SICK AND TWISTED AFFAIR was produced by Joey Moi, who co-produced (with Nickelback’s Chad Kroeger) the band’s self-titled debut album MY DARKEST DAYS, released September 2010.  “Casual Sex,” which is picking up steam at Active and Mainstream rock radio formats, features incendiary guitar work by John 5 (of Robb Zombie and Marilyn Manson renown).

My Darkest Days first hit the charts in the fall of 2010, when their memorable debut single on Mercury, “Porn Star Dancing,” rose to #1 on the Active Rock and Mainstream Rock charts, and Top 20 at Alternative.  “PSD” was certified RIAA gold in the U.S. (over 800,000 digital sales and still a recurrent Top 10 at Active Rock) and gold in Canada.  The video (directed by Brendan Kyle Cochrane) broke the world record for the number of dancers in a music video, collected over 12 million YouTube views, and was also certified RIAA platinum.

SMILE EMPTY SOUL TO RELEASE NEW ALBUM “3’s” May 22, 2012

(New York, NY) – Los Angelesbased rock trio, SMILE EMPTY SOUL have signed a worldwide deal with eOne Music. The band will release their new record entitled “3’s” on May 22, 2012.“We are very excited to be working with eOne on this record.
They’re a label that truly backs their artists, and that’s exactly what we need.”
 says lead guitarist and front man Sean Danielsen. This new effort will be a followup effort to “More Anxiety” which was released in 2010. Danielsen continues, “3’s is the best record we’ve made. It’s more musical and mature, yet still has the ‘Smile’ sound that our fans are looking for.”

(New York, NY): European power metal dynamos DragonForce have announced plans to return to North America for a spring tour. This outing marks the band’s first full trek with brand new singer Marc Hudson, who also makes his recorded debut on The Power Within. The album lands at retail on April 17.

Hudson premiered his voice at a series of intimate North American gigs last fall. The performances were met with much praise and approval from the band’s diehard fanbase. Now the vocalist will be able to showcase his pipes to other parts of the country and beyond, where a similar reaction is expected for this talented up ‘n comer with undeniable chops.

The tour kicks off April 21 at the annual New England  Metal and Hardcore Fest in Worcester, Massachusetts and makes several stops on the East Coast before winding through Canada and into the Midwest before wrapping out west on May 11 in Anaheim, California. L.A.-based metal warriors Holy Grail, and Huntress, a five-piece metal band lead by vocalist Jill Janus, who delivers an unparalleled four-octave range thanks to her opera background, will provide support on this run.
