INDIE ROCK OUTFIT Oh No Not Stereo RELEASE NEW ALBUM :::: Alternative Press, adidas, Delta Airlines and others to support the band

(New York, NY – October 31, 2011) –   Los Angeles Indy Rockers, Skyler Nielsen (Vocals, Guitar/Piano), Mykul Lee (Drums/Vocals) and Jussi Karvinen (Guitar/Vocals) better known as Oh No Not Stereo bring their innovative edge to their fifth release and third full length album, InCaseOfStaresUseFire to market.   After writing over 50 songs the band along with acclaimed producer Jayson DeZuzio (Foxy Shazam, Coheed and Cambria) chiseled it down to 10 dynamic sounding tracks.   This experience of making this record, recorded both in the band’s home studio and Hollywood’s SoundFactory, has definitely reflected the common thread of how this band makes records which is constantly being innovative and flexible to change.   Critics and fans have definitely found that the album as a whole brings a dynamitic sound of propulsive rock, angular heaviness, to strong ballads.

Along with the trend of keeping innovative the band decided to make this album as visual as possible.   ‘Static Friction Heart’, the band’s first call out single paints the perfect picture of how the band spent 12 weeks conceptualizing and filming a music video for every song on the album.   “We wanted to infuse the record with additional life and offer visual experiences that made a parallel with the meaning of the tracks.” says Lee.   As a result of the band’s creativity and sound  they have already caught the eye of leading industry leaders, with an early video placement in MTV’s reboot of Beavis and Butthead, a Delta Airlines In-Air Flight Program playlist with ‘Static Friction Heart’ and more to come.  ONNS have also garnered such sponsors as Fender, Orange Amps, Ernie Ball Strings, SJC Drums, Hollywood Guitars, adidas, AMP Energy Drink and more.  All of these benefactors are clearly the mark of hard work.  After touring both the US and UK with bands such as The All- American Rejects, Hit the Lights, Bayside, Sugarcult, The Photo Atlas, The Epilogues, And There For Tomorrow the band will take their new recordings out to fans for a forthcoming tour.

ROADRUNNER TO RELEASE TYPE O NEGATIVE’S LABEL CATALOG AS VINYL BOX SET :::: IT WILL BE SOLD EXCLUSIVELY AT INDEPENDENT RETAIL OUTLETS ON BLACK FRIDAY

Posted in News, Releases with tags , , , on October 25, 2011 by Randy

New York, NY: What better way to celebrate Black Friday, the biggest shopping day of the calendar year, with the black-humored, doom ‘n’ gloom goth of Type O Negative? Fans can inject a little fun into the drudgery that is holiday shopping, courtesy of Type O!

Roadrunner Records will release a special vinyl box set exclusively via independent retailers on Black Friday, which lands on November 25th this year. Go here for more information on who is selling this incredibly limited piece.

As the first band to achieve platinum status on the Roadrunner Records roster, Type O Negative didn’t rewrite the rules. They simply tore the rule book up, burned what was left of it and did whatever the hell they wanted with the smoldering ash. The result was nothing short of brilliant, as they combined dirge-like doom with head down, gothy grooves, all the while retaining the sort of signature melody that made their songs utterly memorable, infesting your brain like a virus.

Of the box set, Type O’s Johnny Kelly said, “This looks great but we’re disappointed that Roadrunner couldn’t get it together to do the scratch ‘n’ sniff cover we wanted for The Origin of the Feces.”

The vinyl box includes all Roadrunner released Type O Negative material contained within one collector’s box. Each album will be issued on double green vinyl, with the album art recreated, including the controversial, rarely seen original cover of The Origin of the Feces. Type O fans know all about that cover and the anatomy which it features.

Each album will also have new, branded liner notes documenting the genesis and completion of each album.

An exclusive sticker sheet with six mini bumper stickers will also be included in this “must own” set for Type O Negative diehards. It’s an instant collector’s item.

This set includes the following releases:

Slow, Deep and Hard
The Origin of the Feces
Bloody Kisses

October Rust

World Coming Down

Life Is Killing Me
