Metal icons DEICIDE are returning to the road this fall on their NO SALVATION TOUR 2013 – a headlining run with fellow Century Media labelmates and death metal favorites BROKEN HOPE. Also in support are DISGORGE and NECRONOMICON.

The tour launches October 2 in Atlanta, GA, and ends October 24 in Austin, TX. Highlights include a convergence with the Delaware Death Fest October 5, as well as stops in New York City, Chicago and Los Angeles. Complete dates are listed below.

DEICIDE will be touring to promote their upcoming, yet-to-be-titled studio release, due out this fall on Century Media Records. The album will be their second for Century Media, and the follow-up to ‘To Hell With God’ in 2011. DECIBEL MAGAZINE joined DEICIDE and producer Jason Suecof in the studio earlier this year, reporting: “Expect a super-brutal blast to the cranium. Longtime fans will pick up on nuances inspired from the almightyLegion effort.” With drummer Steve Asheim adding that “we’re going to get down and dirty this time around, so expect the lyrics to be brutal.”

BROKEN HOPE release ‘Omen Of Disease’ October 1 – the album will be their first studio record in nearly 15 years, and debut album for Century Media. DISGORGE will release their fifth studio album in late 2013 on Unique Leader Records, while NECRONOMICON are touring in support of ‘Rise Of The Elder Ones,’ released June 10 via Season Of Mist.

Both DEICIDE and BROKEN HOPE are available for advance and in-person interviews – please reply to this email for availability.

HAKEN reveal video for brand new track ‘Pareidolia’

Posted in All Metal, Artist Watch, New Music, News, Releases, Shows with tags , on August 6, 2013 by Randy
Progressive-metallers Haken are gearing up for the release of third album and InsideOut Music debut ‘The Mountain’. The time has come for them to reveal the second track to be taken from said album, and this comes in the shape of the ten-minute long journey that is ‘Pareidolia’. The band had this to say about the track: ‘This song is at the heavier end of the Haken spectrum. It’s a bit of a culture clash too; we had fun incorporating the Hindu scale, some tribal percussion and even a Greek bouzouki into our sound. We asked Marc Papeghin to create the visuals for us after he blew us away with his epic 22 minute Visions video.’

You can watch the track here:

‘The Mountain’ will be available on several different formats, including a limited edition digipak CD which includes two bonus tracks, a standard jewelcase CD, a heavyweight gatefold 2LP and digital download. You can head to InsideOutMusic’s shop and pre-order those now:

FATES WARNING – Reveal new album title, artwork and release date; Announce tourdates!

Posted in All Metal, Artist Watch, New Music, News, Releases, Shows with tags , on August 6, 2013 by Randy

U.S. Progressive Metal pioneers FATES WARNING have finally returned with their first studio album release in about a decade! Entitled “Darkness In A Different Light”, the album will be released on September 30th, 2013 in Europe and October 1st, 2013 in North America via InsideOutMusic.

“Darkness In A Different Light” is FATES WARNING’s first album of new material since the release of “FWX” in 2004 and also marks the first release for the band’s stellar current line-up of Ray Alder (vocals), Jim Matheos and Frank Aresti (guitars), Joey Vera (bass) and Bobby Jarzombek (drums).

The album was produced by Matheos and mixed by long time FATES WARNING engineer Phil Magnotti, while mastering was handled by Maor Appelbaum at Maor Appelbaum Mastering, California.  The (above pictured) artwork for the album was designed by Conte di San Pietro.

FATES WARNING vocalist Ray Alder checked in with a comment as follows:

“Darkness in a Different Light” is the result of almost two years of very hard work from everyone in the band.
I believe that this line-up is the best that Fates has ever had, and I also think that it comes through in the music on this album. It’s been almost nine years since our last studio album and I couldn’t be more proud of what we’ve accomplished here.
We are looking very much forward to playing some new songs for our fans who have stuck by us over all these years. We plan on touring as much as possible for “Darkness in a Different Light” and hopefully we’ll hit a few places we’ve never been…”

Indeed, FATES WARNING already have headlining touring runs confirmed for October in Europe and November/December in North America, with further live activity to follow in 2014.
