The album debuted at No. 7 on the Billboard 200, and has spawned two Top 10 Active Rock singles, “Dead City Radio and the New Gods of Super Town” and Zombie’s current Top 10 spin on Grand Funk Railroad’s anthemic “We’re An American Band.” The song’s lyric video can be viewed HERE. The album cover art is below.

On his upcoming co-headlining tour with KORN, Zombie notes, “Some of the best times we’ve had on the road have been touring with Korn, so we’re thrilled to be doing it again!” Jonathan Davis adds, “We’ve had a lot of fun touring and playing with Rob Zombie over the years. It’s been a while and those shows were so much fun. We’re really excited about doing it again.”

These tour dates come on the heels of KORN announcing the return of their FAMILY VALUES FESTIVAL–a one–day spectacular taking placeSaturday, October 5 at the 1st Bank Center in Denver, Colorado with Hollywood Undead, Asking Alexandria, Machine Gun Kelly andBeware of Darkness–as well as their current cross-country record release “launch dates” tour (with support from Asking Alexandria and Love And Death) taking the band through October 12 when they wrap in Las Vegas.

THE PARADIGM SHIFT marks the emotional return of co-founding guitarist Brian “Head” Welch for his first album with KORN since 2003‘s Take a Look in the Mirror, and it serves as the follow-up to the band’s 2011 critically acclaimed trend-setting dubstep metal hybrid, The Path of Totality, which debuted Top 10 on the Billboard Top 200 chart and was named Revolver Magazine‘s “Album of the Year.THE PARADIGM SHIFT is also KORN’s first time working with super producer Don Gilmore [Linkin Park’s The Hybrid Theory, etc.] who recorded the album with the band atBuck Owens’ studio in their original hometown Bakersfield and at Los Angeles‘ famed NRG Recording Studios.

Rob Zombie has sold more than fifteen million albums worldwide and he is the only artist to experience unprecedented success in both music and film as the writer/director of six feature films with a worldwide gross totaling more than $100 million. Prior to VENOMOUS RAT REGENERATION VENDOR, his last solo studio album was the long-awaited HELLBILLY DELUXE 2, which came a decade after its predecessor, HELLBILLY DELUXE, the album that established Zombie as a solo artist after the breakup of multi-platinum group White Zombie. That triple-platinum album also yielded a string of successful radio singles, namely “Dragula,” “Superbeast” and “Living Dead Girl, which dominated the airwaves. DEICIDE Set November 25 Release For ‘IN THE MINDS OF EVIL’ Album Cover And Track Listing For New Studio Album Unveiled NO SALVATION TOUR 2013 Set For October With Support From BROKEN HOPE, DISGORGE & NECROMONICON

Posted in All Metal, Artist Watch, Featured, New Music, News, Releases, Reviews, Shows, Uncategorized with tags , , , on September 23, 2013 by Randy

Metal legends DEICIDE will release ‘IN THE MINDS OF EVIL’ November 25 in North America via Century Media Records, and frontman and founding member Glen Benton couldn’t be more proud of his latest offering of evil incarnate.

“Do you hear that? It’s the sound of Satan singing along to the new DEICIDE!” boasts Benton of the new release, adding that “‘IN THE MINDS OF EVIL’ is like King Kong taking a shit on a daisy.”

The album is the eleventh studio recording of an illustrious career spanning more than 25 years, and is produced by Jason Suecoff [ALL THAT REMAINS, TRIVIUM, DEATH ANGEL, BATTLECROSS]. The album’s jarring cover was taken from Australian artist Simon Cowell’s painting “Power Of The Mind” and offers a fitting face to the album’s 11 tracks.

1. In The Minds Of Evil

2. Thou Begone

3. Godkill

4. Beyond Salvation

5. Misery Of One

6. Between The Flesh And The Void

7. Even The Gods Can Bleed

8. Trample The Cross

9.  Fallen To Silence

10. Kill The Light Of Christ

11. End The Wrath Of God

DECIBEL MAGAZINE joined DEICIDE in the studio earlier this year, reporting: “Expect a super-brutal blast to the cranium. Longtime fans will pick up on nuances inspired from the almighty Legion effort.” With drummer Steve Asheim adding, “we’re going to get down and dirty this time around, so expect the lyrics to be brutal.”

DEICIDE is (from L-R in above photo): Glen Benton (vocals and bass), Kevin Quirion (guitars), Steve Asheim (drums) and Jack Owen (guitars).

The band will preview ‘IN THE MINDS OF EVIL’ on the road this fall on the NO SALVATION TOUR 2013 – a DEICIDE headlining run with fellow Century Media labelmates and death metal favorites BROKEN HOPE in support. Also opening are DISGORGE and NECRONOMICON. The North American tour launches October 2 in Atlanta, GA, and ends October 24 in Austin, TX. DEAD BY WEDNESDAY Guitarist Leaves, National Open Auditions, New EP, New Label, CT Music Awards Nominations

Posted in All Metal, Artist Watch, Featured, New Music, News, Releases with tags , , , , , , on September 23, 2013 by Randy

Due to personal reasons, guitarist Ross Ragusa has chosen to amicably part ways with Connecticut based metal band DEAD BY WEDNESDAY. Ross states, “I love my brothers in DBW, I wish them nothing but success, as they deserve it for the years of hard work they put into this project. This was the hardest decision I’ve ever had to make in my life. But the road has done serious damage to my back and neck, so I need to step away to get healthy, pursue an education in music, and come out strong to become the musician I was born to be.”

As hard as it was for the rest of the band to hear this, the show must go on, and the remaining band members wish him nothing but the best. “Although we will miss Ross on many different levels, we look forward to the excitement and possibilities of working with some new energy and flesh blood. We don’t care how long it takes for our search, but hopefully our ‘Randy Rhodes’ will walk through the door.” – Opus, drummer of DBW.

DBW will be holding national auditions for their replacement guitarist. All candidates must be pro and willing to tour. According to the band, “To be considered, you must be as good or better than Mr. Ross Ragusa. If you think you got what it takes, and are serious about your career, emailOmindsnap@aol.com.”

The band was planning on writing a full-length album with Ross, but because of his departure they will instead finish the seven songs that they’ve already written and recorded with him, and release it as an EP. It will also feature Charlie Bellmore (the guitarist of Kingdom of Sorrow/Jasta), who will be finishing off some of the guitar solo duties. They are currently in the studio with producer Nicholas T. Rage, who has recorded the likes of Hatebreed, Kingdom of Sorrow, andToxic Holocaust. Their new EP, titled The Death of the Rockstar, will be released early 2014 through Mindsnap Music and distributed by Fake Four, Inc / Red Eye, followed by a nationwide tour. Their first single off the EP, “Left for Dead” is is also featured on the summer release of HATEWEAR’s “For The Headbanger’s/Brutal New Music Vol. # 4” comp CD out now! Now on to some exciting news!! On September 17, 2013, at the Second Annual Connecticut Music Awards at The Bushnell in Hartford, CT, DEAD BY WEDNESDAY snagged the award for “Best Metal” band – for the second year in a row! They were also the only metal band to be nominated for “Best Overall” band.

“We are super happy to have won the best metal award two years in a row, and want to thank all of our family, friends, and fans who voted and believe in us, helping us to win again.” – Mike Modeste, bassist of DBW.
