New Album “Aftershock” Hitting Stores on October 22, 2013 via UDR Music

Today, MOTÖRHEAD is releasing a brand new track from their upcoming 21st studio album, Aftershock, entitled ‘Crying Shame’. This track, written and performed by the world’s most legendary heavy metal band, is being unleashed by none other than the world’s most legendary music magazine, Rolling Stone. You can listen to ‘Crying Shame’, the second new track released to the masses, exclusively at RollingStone.com now.

The Rolling Stone piece states, “MOTÖRHEAD have torn it up on 20 studio albums, and for Aftershock – their 21st – the rockers haven’t lost their bite. Lemmy and crew bare their teeth for “Crying Shame,” with spitfire riffs and wild, stabbing piano. “Never knew your name,” Lemmy sneers in the chorus. “It’s a crying shame.””

MOTÖRHEAD’s other new single, ‘Heartbreaker’, is spinning now on Sirius XM’s Liquid Metal and Ozzy’s Boneyard channels.

Aftershock hits stores in North America on October 22, 2013 via UDR Music. Recorded at NRG Studios in North Hollywood, Aftershock is a true leveler, a crushing confirmation of everything MOTÖRHEAD stands for, marching from the dust storm to deliver 14 belting statements which see MOTÖRHEAD in perhaps their best writing form for years.

You can pre-order the next chapter of MOTÖRHEAD’s legendary catalog now in Limited Edition Digipack format via Amazon.com at this link. The album is also available for pre-order now in regular CD format and vinyl (gatefold – 180-Gram Single LP) format (digital coming soon).

MOTÖRHEAD Announces North American Pre-Order Information for “Aftershock” – Hitting Stores on October 22, 2013 via UDR Music

The North American pre-order for MOTÖRHEAD’s Aftershock is live! That’s right, you can pre-order the next chapter of MOTÖRHEAD’s legendary catalog now in Limited Edition Digipack format via Amazon.com at this link. The album is also available now in regular CD format and vinyl (gatefold – 180-Gram Single LP) format (digital coming soon). Since the pre-order launch yesterday, Aftershock has already shot to #1 on Amazon’s Movers & Shakers chart and #3 on Amazon’s Hard Rock & Metal chart.

Aftershock, MOTÖRHEAD’s mammoth 21st studio album, hits stores in North America on October 22, 2013 via UDR Music.

Aftershock track listing:

Heartbreaker
Coup de Grace
Lost Woman Blues
End Of Time
Do You Believe
Death Machine
Dust And Glass
Going To Mexico
Silence When You Speak To Me
Crying Shame
Queen Of The Damned
Knife
Keep Your Powder Dry
Paralyzed

With Aftershock, there’s swagger, there’s punch, there’s speed and there’s dirty filthy grooves, Lemmy Kilmister, Phil Campbell and Mikkey Dee showing clearly that MOTÖRHEAD is not simply a band, it’s a genre!

That genre, more than ever, resonates with hearty independence and swashbuckle. Whether it’s “Heartbreaker” throwing hooks and riffs into your head, the double-kick concussiveness of “Paralyzed” with Campbell’s fuelled attack, or the thunderous ride-off-the-Rickenbacker Motörcharge of “Going To Mexico”,Aftershock takes gleeful twists and turns which re-announce the Motörlegend. There’s the smoky biker bar blues in the shape of “Dust And Glass”, Lemmy’s late-night vocals evoking last-call and melancholy, the pogo-powered punk-spiked stab of “Queen Of The Damned” and the deliciously steamy, humid mournful “Lost Woman Blues” which midway through decides to kick over the stool and stomp out the saloon door.

MOTÖRHEAD are MOTÖRHEAD are MOTÖRHEAD…and their Aftershock will be felt worldwide…

Loud music.  Pornography. Burning shit to the ground.  These are a few of Hesher’s favorite things, and all to the soundtrack of Metallica and Motorhead.  And they are what Hesher (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) brings into the lives of TJ (Devon Brochu) and his father Paul (Rainn Wilson) when he takes up residence in the garage uninvited.  Grief stricken by the loss of TJ’s mother in a car accident, Paul can’t muster the strength to evict the strange squatter and soon the long-haired, tattooed Hesher becomes a fixture in the household.  Like a force of nature, Hesher’s anarchy shakes the family out of their grief and helps them embrace life once more.

The Music of Hesher:

-The Shortest Straw: Metallica

-Fight Fire with Fire: Metallica

-Anesthesia: Metallica

-Battery: Metallica

-Motorbreath: Metallica

-Rock Out: Motorhead

-A Teenager in Love: Dion & the Belmonts

-The End of Time: The Hit Crew

-Deeply: Buddy Stuart

Featuring an all-star award-winning cast, Lionsgate debuts Hesher on DVD, Blu-ray Disc, Digital Download and On Demand this September. Joseph Gordon-Levitt (Inception) leads the dark comedy in the title role, an unconventional loner who is more interested in pyromania than finding a job.  Also starring Rainn Wilson (TV’s “The Office”), Devon Brochu (In the Valley of Elah) and Oscar® winner Natalie Portman (Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role, Black Swan, 2010), this dark comedy meets fairy tale was a film festival favorite – an Official Selection of South by Southwest, and nominated for the Grand Jury Prize at Sundance in 2010.  Hailed as a “delectably anarchic black comedy…refreshingly original” (New York Post), the film features the music of Metallica. Hesher, featuring deleted scenes, outtakes, cast and crew interviews, a sketch gallery and more, will be available on September 13th for the suggested retail price of $28.98 on DVD and $29.99 on Blu-ray Disc.
