In a recent interview for MTV2’s Headbanger’s Ball conducted by Jose Mangin, New England heavy metal titans THY WILL BE DONE recently announced that they have completed the recording process for what is to be for their upcoming EP. The forthcoming release was engineered by the band’s own rhythm guitarist Kurt Fraunfelter, who adequately possesses a Bachelor of Science Degree in Audio and Media Technology, and is currently being mixed by acclaimed metal producer Zeuss (White Chapel, Suicide Silence, Chimaira) at Planet Z in Hadley, MA.

The follow-up release to 2009’s ‘In Ancient of Days’ LP will feature 6 brand new studio tracks including the track, “You, The Apathy Divine” which the band debuted live on last year’s Stillborn Fest tour with Hatebreed.

THY WILL BE DONE spent 2009 and 2010 supporting the likes of DevilDriver, Fear Factory, All That Remains, and Machine Head amongst others. The Headbanger’s Ball interview conducted by Jose Mangin can be viewed here: http://www.mtv.com/shows/headbangers_ball/series.jhtml

STORMZONE NEW SONG AVAILABLE FOR STREAMING

Posted in All Metal, New Music, News with tags , , , , , , on November 10, 2011 by Randy

Irish metallers STORMZONE will release their new album, “Zero To Rage”, in Europe on November 21 and in North America on January 17, 2012 via SPV/Steamhammer.

Commented STORMZONE vocalist John “Harv” Harbinson: “Apart from being a singer of heavy metal music for many years, I have also always been a huge fan of heavy metal, and I have no hesitation in saying that the new STORMZONE album, ‘Zero to Rage’ is something that as a singer I am immensely proud of and as a fan I would definitely go out and buy!”

The track listing for the follow-up to last year’s “Death Dealer” is as follows:

01. Where We Belong

02. Zero To Rage

03. Jester’s Laughter

04. This Is Our Victory

05. Fear Hotel

06. Hail The Brave

07. Uprising

08. Last Man Fighting

09. Empire Of Fear

10. Monsters

11. Voice Inside My Head

12. Cuchulainn’s Story

The song “Jester’s Laughter” is available for streaming HERE

Formed in 2005 in Belfast by vocalist Harv, STORMZONE recorded its debut album soon after and secured a deal with U.K. rock label Escape Music who released “Caught In The Act” in 2007 (also released by Avalon/Marquee in Japan in the same year). The LP was a superb hard rock record was also essentially a “studio” band album with Harv and friends playing all instruments. The cover artwork for “Caught In The Act” was painted by famous fantasy artist Rodney Matthews. Rodney has also contributed the artwork for the new STORMZONE album “Death Dealer”.

It was not until later in 2007 that the full STORMZONE lineup was formed, essentially to tour in promotion of the debut album with all the musicians being from Belfast. Most had previously played in local bands except drummer Davy Bates. He was the sticks-man for legendary Belfast band SWEET SAVAGE (immortalized when METALLICA covered their “Killing Time” opus as the B-side of “The Unforgiven”).

For two years STORMZONE were on the road playing in Europe, including support slots with Y&T, WHITE LION, TESLA, GEORGE LYNCH, and L.A. GUNS. They also made appearances at various festivals, such as Firefest (UK), Sweden Rock, Lorca Rock (Spain), Z Rock (UK) and Raismesfest (France), before re-entering the studio in the summer of 2009 to record their second album.

STORMZONE attracted many friends with the debut album including admiration from legendary producer/DJ Neal Kay who saw in the band the same early signs of stardom shown by another group he discovered, IRON MAIDEN! With the band playing live constantly they inevitably hardened up their sound so the new recordings came out much more aggressive than the first album but still kept the quality, melody and harmony of before. Co-produced by Neal Kay, “Death Dealer” was finished towards the end of 2009 and released in April 2010.

STORMZONE is:

Steve Moore – Guitar

Keith Harris – Guitar

John “Harv” Harbinson – Lead Vocals

Graham McNulty – Bass

Davy Bates – Drums

COREY TAYLOR: “AN EVENING WITH COREY TAYLOR” FIRST-EVER SOLO TREK FEATURING LIVE ACOUSTIC SONGS, SPOKEN WORD PERFORMANCES AND AUDIENCE Q&A SESSIONS TO KICK-OFF NOVEMBER 14

GRAMMY AWARD-WINNING FRONTMAN FOR SLIPKNOT AND STONE SOUR AND BEST- SELLING AUTHOR
INVITED TO BE THE OFFICIAL GUEST SPEAKER
AT OXFORD UNIVERSITY

2011 has been a landmark year so far for COREY TAYLOR. Known worldwide as the dynamic lead-singer for two multi-platinum rock groups–Slipknot and Stone Sour–the Grammy Award-winner this year added two more impressive credentials to his resume: best-selling author for his SEVEN DEADLY SINS… book as well as Oxford University official guest lecturer.  This fall, COREY will launch his first-ever solo tour “An Evening With Corey Taylor.” It begins November 14 in Anaheim and wraps December 13 in Orlando.
This unique month-long trek will feature COREY playing acoustically, both original songs and some of his favorite covers. The evening will also encompass a spoken word performance with select excerpts from SEVEN DEADLY SINS… and audiences will get a rare chance to interact with the powerful frontman during an open Q&A session. For tickets and VIP packages to “An Evening With Corey Taylor” including a ticket to the show, entry to soundcheck, a pre-show VIP reception with COREY and an autographed hardcover copy of SEVEN DEADLY SINS…, visit: http://thecoreytaylor.com/?page=tour.

COREY recently joined the ranks of the Albert Einstein, the Dalai Lama, Michael Jackson and Kermit the Frog when he was invited to be the official guest speaker at Oxford University. For this in-depth and diverse lecture COREY delved deep into the inspiration behind his music and his new book SEVEN DEADLY SINS: Settling the Argument Between Born Bad and Damaged Good–a philosophical exploration into how this Renaissance man’s history and approach to his art, has created worldwide success and a unique vision for living life to the fullest, all told through the prism of the so-called Seven Deadly Sins. SEVEN DEADLY SINS… spent four weeks on the New York Times bestsellers list and five weeks on the Times of London’s bestseller list.  Publisher’s Weekly reviewed SEVEN DEADLY SINS…,

“Starting with the premise that the seven deadly sins should be changed to ‘the seven petty sins,’ since the old ones are outdated and ‘barely PG-13,’ he ends by offering a list he calls ‘the New Seven Deadly Sins,’ which include murder, child abuse, rape and torture. In between, he barrels through his personal takes on positive aspects of the seven sins, such as his view of greed, ‘where one man’s greed is another man’s ambition’ that ‘could cure cancer…’ Overall, his hope is that people will ‘stop holding themselves back even slightly and start realizing potential they never dreamed existed,’ a hope that survived a harrowing childhood in a small Midwestern town-‘a cornucopia of racism, malicious intent, and ignorant torrents of pain’ that he describes in the book’s most powerful and moving chapter.” (August 2011)

The full Oxford University lecture will premiere in four parts on www.thecoreytaylor.com every Wednesday at 5:00pm ET. Watch COREY TAYLOR live from Oxford University here:
