‘WE GIVE YOU ESCAPE’ EP OUT NOW

Having released their debut EP ‘We Give You Escape’ last week, Knoxville, Tennessee’s indie-rock trio ECHOES has now teamed up with leading video platform VEVO to premiere the music video for their single “Young Heretics.”

Pulling influence from The Smiths, Bloc Party and Interpol to name a few, ECHOES deliver smart, intricate tunes with a solid bass groove. The group’s 4-track debut digital EP ‘We Give You Escape’was released last week, and mastered by Kevin Bartley [Billy Idol, The Decembrists, Hawthorne Heights] at Capitol Studios. DEVIN TOWNSEND PROJECT launches “War” video clip online, reveals contents of deluxe edition of ‘Retinal Circus’ CD/DVD set

After releasing Epicloud last year to critical acclaim, the DEVIN TOWNSEND PROJECT will be giving fans a new DVD/CD set this fall, entitled Retinal Circus. Hailed as the breakout band on the 2013 Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival, the BUTCHER BABIES will be direct support for punk and metal legend DANZIG on his upcoming October tour (complete itinerary below), and will be taking their incendiary live show to the high seas in January 2014, when they join FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH, PAPA ROACH, THREE DAYS GRACE, IN THIS MOMENT, LACUNA COIL, DEVICE, SEVENDUST and more on the SHIPROCKED cruise.

The final leg of the DANZIG 25th Anniversary tour launches October 8 in Ft. Lauderdale, FL, and will feature BUTCHER BABIES in direct support, with openers A PALE HORSE NAMED DEATH (featuring members of TYPE O NEGATIVE and LIFE OF AGONY) and TEXAS HIPPIE COALITION, as well as a special MISFITS set featuring DANZIG’s former MISFITS bandmate Doyle. The tour will be a highlight of the 20th annual Rock And Shock convention October 19 in Worcester, MA, with OTEP, NEW YEARS DAY and STOLEN BABIES also added to that day’s lineup.

BUTCHER BABIES will perform September 14 at the Monster Energy Aftershock festival in Sacramento, CA, and are a featured artist at Rob Zombie’s Great American Nightmare on October 26. From January 26-30, 2014, they will set sail on the Shiprockedcruise out of Miami, FL, to Great Stirrup Cay, Bahamas.

TURISAS Premiere “Ten More Miles” Video At RevolverMag.com New Album ‘TURISAS2013’ Out September 3 In North America

TURISAS have partnered with Revolver Magazine to premiere the music video for “Ten More Miles,” from their new album ‘TURISAS2013’. The album, the band’s fourth studio release, comes out Tuesday, September 3 on Century Media Records. Says TURISAS frontman Mathias Nygard of the epic video: “Times change, people change, bands change… but do they really change?” Produced and directed by fellow Finn Jukka Salo, the video is a nod to the past while addressing questions about our future. The track is the third to be unveiled from ‘TURISAS2013’, following “Into The Free” (listen here) and “For Your Own Good” (listen here).

The new album was produced by vocalist Mathias Nygard, and was recorded by Nygard and guitarist Jussi Wickstrom in a remote house outside of Helsinki, Finland. The mixing and mastering was done in London at Orgone Studios with producer Jaime Gomez Arellano [Ghost B.C., Cathedral, Primordial, Ulver].
