Another Lost Year – Better Days [Review]

Posted in All Metal, News, Reviews with tags , , , , , , , on April 22, 2013 by Randy

Rock is dying once again.  Another break-up album filled with gloomy tracks and cookie cutter vocals.  Charlotte, NC’s Another Lost Year cut the album with Justin Rimer (12 Stones, Breaking Point), and in the process, they may have actually lost a year.  The couple bright spots are two solid tracks, Broken and Angels, with the latter including guest vocals from Lish.  I could go on and on about the album, but in short the actual recording quality isn’t up to par…the drums sound muffled, the guitar tracks sound distant, and Clinton Cunanan vox sound nasally.

Another Lost Year: Clinton Cunanan (Vox), Adam Hall (Vox, Guitar), David Whitaker (Guitar), Lee Norris (Drums), Jason Lovelace (Bass)

PIERCE THE VEIL KICK OFF CO-HEADLINING “SPRING FEVER TOUR” WITH ALL TIME LOW TODAY!

Posted in New Music, News, Shows with tags , , , , on April 11, 2013 by Randy

Only A Few Tickets Remain For Pierce The Veils’ Nearly Sold Out Tour In Support of Collide With The Sky

April 11, 2013 – Los Angeles, CA – Red-hot rock band, PIERCE THE VEIL, will kick off their U.S. co-headline tour with All Time Low today in Tulsa, OK. One of the most anticipated excursions of the season, the “Spring Fever Tour” will feature support acts Mayday Parade and You Me At Six and circle the country ending in San Francisco on May 12th. Only a handful of tickets are left for the nearly sold out tour, and available dates can be found at https://www.facebook.com/PierceTheVeil/app_123966167614127.

MTV Buzzworthy’s Breakthrough Artists of 2012 and Alternative Press’ Reader’s Poll “Artists of The Year,” PIERCE THE VEIL, are on the fast track to a mainstream breakthrough with their most recent release, Collide With The Sky, which made a first week debut at #12 on the Billboard Top 200, #1 on the Alternative Chart, #1 on the Rock Chart, #1 on the Hard Music Chart and has gone on to sell a staggering 100,000+ copies to date! A wildly impressive feat for any band…by any standards.

PIERCE THE VEIL’s third studio album, Collide With The Sky, has spawned multiple hit videos including “King for a Day” (10.8 Million Views!), “Hell Above” (1.3 Million Views!) and a soon to be released stunner for fan-favorite track “Bulls in the Bronx,” which was recently directed by Drew Russ (A Day To Remember, Go Radio, As I Lay Dying). Fans can check out some behind the scene photos at Kerrang.com.

The band’s upcoming “Spring Fever Tour” comes on the heels a massively successful headlining U.S. run with Memphis May Fire, Letlive, and Issues and a completely sold out headline tour with Sleeping With Sirens previous to that.

As momentum continues to build, so do the crowds…yet another sign that PIERCE THE VEIL are emerging as a frontrunner for the next face of hard rock.
