“We are so thrilled to be on-board the REVOLVER Hottest Chicks in Hard Rock tour – again! It was a blast when we did it a few years ago, and it’s going to be even better this time! We are absolutely ready to tear every stage apart with our new (and old) songs, and have a fantastic time with you all. The party is almost ready to begin… and you’re all invited!” – Cristina Scabbia, Lacuna Coil

“I am really excited to be rockin’ the same stage as my fellow female rockers in Sick PuppiesLacuna Coil, and Cilver. Being a part of the REVOLVER Hottest Chicks in Hard Rock tour this year is definitely going to be a highlight of 2014!  I hope we can inspire more women to go after their dreams, because without dreams we have no future.” – Alexia Rodriguez, Eyes Set To Kill

Los Angeles via Australia modern rock trio Sick Puppies slammed into the scene in 2006 with their groundbreaking “Free Hugs,” video, which has garnered more than 40 million views on YouTube to date. The video, which accompanied the band’s song “All The Same,” earned Sick Puppies exposure on Oprah, Jay Leno, “60 Minutes” and CNN. It also propelled “All the Same” into a top requested single at commercial radio stations across North America. Years before YouTube, Sick Puppieswere winning prestigious commendations, including “Best Song” from Triple J Unearthed, and “Best Live Performance” from the Australian Live Music Awards. The Australian edition of Rolling Stone even called Sick Puppies “the most dynamic new band in the country.” This past year saw the release of their most recent album, Connect (via Capitol Records), which garnered the band an impressive #17 debut on the Billboard Top 200 chart. With infectious tunes, a jaw-dropping stage show and equal doses of hits and hugs, Sick Puppies are striking a blow against the horde of faceless modern rock bands that are virtually all the same.

Moving and powerful, mysterious and serpentine, the music of Lacuna Coil has always been somewhat of a mystery to nail down. Too brawny to be gothic, yet too melodic to be purely metal, the band has carved a path all its own with their unique sound and undeniable songwriting prowess. Fans are in store for a real treat this time around, as the band will debut songs from their newly recorded album; the Jay Baumgardner produced Broken Crown Halo, which is set for an April 1 release date through Century Media Records.

Eyes Set To Kill have been providing fans with an outlet for their aggression since they first emerged from Phoenix, Arizona in 2003. Since then, they have amassed over 1.3 million Facebook likes, covered USA Today, and landed on Alternative Press’s coveted “100 Bands You Need to Know List”. On the road, they’ve developed into a veritable whirlwind, sharing stages with everyone from Papa Roach to Black Veil Brides. They’ve crossed the globe four times on tour and even headlined a festival in Jakarta in front of 8,000-plus fans. Their new album Masks is out now via Century Media Records, produced by Steve Evetts (Suicide Silence, The Dillinger Escape Plan).

Emerging from the New York, NY rock scene, Cilver, fronted by Uliana, one of the 2014 Revolver’s Hottest Chicks In Hard Rock, is quickly making a name for themselves. With their debut single, “In My Head”, which features Bumblefoot of Guns n’ Roses, the band has garnered attention from Revolver Magzine, Metal Insider, Blabbermouth, and many other sites. “In My Head” has also been the “Flavor Of The Week” on Music Choice TV and has been getting spins on Sirius XM Octane, along with dozens of other national radio stations. Cilver’s debut EP, “In My Head” will be independently released on January 21. Check out their video and single at www.cilverband.com.

LACUNA COIL Announce April 1 Release Of New Studio Album ‘BROKEN CROWN HALO’

Posted in All Metal, Artist Watch, New Music, News, Releases, Shows with tags , , , , , , , , on January 15, 2014 by Randy

Band Set For REVOLVER HOTTEST CHICKS IN ROCK TOUR With SICK PUPPIES, EYES SET TO KILL & CILVER

Tour To Run February 20 – March 20 In North America

LACUNA COIL are proud to announce the April 1, 2014 release of their new studio album ‘BROKEN CROWN HALO’ in North America (March 31 in Europe, Australia, New Zealand). The album is the band’s seventh studio effort, and the highly-anticipated follow-up to ‘Dark Adrenaline’, which was released in January 2012 and saw the band tour with acts including Megadeth, Motorhead, Volbeat and Sevendust after debuting at No. 15 on the Billboard Top 200 album chart.

The band will return to the road to introduce North America to ‘BROKEN CROWN HALO’ as part of the REVOLVER HOTTEST CHICKS IN HARD ROCK TOUR, which launches February 20 and features LACUNA COIL sharing a stage with SICK PUPPIES, Century Media Records labelmates EYES SET TO KILL, and CILVER. The tour launches in Wilmington, NC, and runs through March 20 in Anaheim, CA. See complete itinerary below, and visit www.hottestchickstour.com for additional details and VIP packages.

LACUNA COIL have this to say about ‘BROKEN CROWN HALO’:

“What conflict could run so deep that it takes you to the deepest corners of your inner world? Today we are surrounded by a lot of lies, aliases, and people acting like they are wearing an invisible crown – but you better have thick skin if you want to wear this crown! ‘BROKEN CROWN HALO’ is a cinematic album that could be the soundtrack of our days – it is a dark vision of a near future when survival is second nature, and failure is not something to be avoided, but rather cultivated with lessons learned along the way.

We set the bar pretty high with ‘Dark Adrenaline’ and it hasn’t been easy bringing our sound to the next level, but we have lived, learned and grown through a year full of personal issues and changes. We learned to be strong and get stronger, and we felt an inner vibe in this band that we haven’t felt before. We locked ourselves in an age-old studio in Milan, Italy, where history was strong and the past met with our future, vintage gear and the influence of classic Italian horror movies and bands like Goblin meeting the fresh and rough sounds of the modern world with unique and invigorating results. ‘BROKEN CROWN HALO’ is Lacuna Coil introducing a new order, and letting nothing stand in our way…”

LACUNA COIL were joined in their native Italy by producer Jay Baumgardner [P.O.D., Sevendust, Evanescence, Papa Roach] and engineer Kyle Hoffmann [P.O.D., Bush, Zebrahead]. ‘BROKEN CROWN HALO’ was mastered by Howie Weinberg, whose credits include Rammstein, Soundgarden, Nirvana, Deftones and Sheryl Crow.
