FLYLEAF, the five-piece, multi-platinum alternative band from Texas, has officially signed with Loud & Proud Records.

Currently in the studio in Los Angeles with producer Don Gilmore (Pearl Jam, Linkin Park, Bullet For My Valentine, Avril Lavigne),  the group–KRISTEN MAY (vocals), SAMEER BHATACHARYA (guitars), JARED HARTMANN (guitars), PAT SEALS (bass), JAMES CULPEPPER (drums)–will release their fourth full length studio album in September.

“We are inspired by Flyleaf’s new music and equally inspired by the band members’ character and conviction,” says Tom Lipsky, Owner and President of Loud & Proud Records.  “We have confidence in their future and are excited that they have placed their trust in Loud & Proud to be their global label partner.”

“Flyleaf is privileged and thankful to be joining forces with Loud & Proud,” explains guitarist SAMEER BHATACHARYA. “There is something very special in this new Flyleaf album that resonates in our hearts. We’re excited for the new release and our upcoming tours starting this fall.”

“Flyleaf has been blessed to have crossed paths with Loud & Proud,” adds bassist PAT SEALS. “We are thrilled to be releasing our new record with such a progressive label that seeks to serve the music.”

“I’m so happy to be partners with Loud and Proud, this will be a good team for us,” adds vocalist KRISTEN MAYLoud and Proud gives us the freedom creatively to grow and stay true to who we are while having the support of an inspired team, we can’t wait for the journey ahead.”

In early 2014 the group began a Pledge Music.com campaign for their new album with producer Don Gilmore; by February 2, 2014 the album was fully funded. Fans can visit www.pledgemusic.com/projects/flyleaf to pre-order the new album and find VIP packages for the forthcoming fall tour.  The band will release their first single in July and look to tour in early fall to support the release of the new album.

“Magnetic”
“City Kids”

FLYLEAF has consistently dominated the Active, Alternative and Mainstream rock charts throughout their career. They released the eponymous debut album, Flyleaf, in 2005 which went platinum and spawned the singles “I’m So Sick,” “Fully Alive,” and the smash “All Around Me,” which sold over one million digital downloads, was a Top 20 hit at Top 40 radio and won the BMI Pop Award. Their second album Memento Mori was released in late 2009 and debuted at No. 8 on the Billboard charts, featuring the singles “Again” and “Missing.”  Their third album New Horizons was released in late 2012 and marked the addition of lead vocalist KRISTEN MAY and the departure of Lacey Sturm. After months of touring the world with the new line-up, FLYLEAF released a new EP Who We Are in 2013 which featured the song “Something Better” with P.O.D. frontman Sonny Sandoval on vocals. They’ve shared the stage with Korn, Deftones, Stone Sour, Evanescence and many more. Conscious of constantly giving back, they played special shows for American troops stationed in Afghanistan as well as Okinawa, Japan.

Posted in All Metal, Artist Watch, New Music, News, Previews, Releases, Uncategorized with tags , , , , , , , , , , , on February 28, 2014 by Randy

New Album ‘Rise Of The Lion’ Drops in North America on April 29, 2014 via Rise Records – Pre Order Today via www.MMIRiseOfTheLion.com

Upcoming “Up Close And Personal” Headline Tour Hits the U.S. East Coast in April/May 2014 with For The Fallen Dreams – Ticket Price Includes a Hard Copy CD!

MISS MAY I’s blistering new offering, Rise Of The Lion, is set to hit stores in North America on April 29, 2014 via Rise Records (April 28 in the UK, April 25 in Australia). This is MISS MAY I’s fourth album and the first to be produced by the legendary Terry Date (Pantera, Deftones, White Zombie, Bring Me The Horizon). The countless fan letters the band has received over the years are the inspiration for the tracks on Rise Of The Lion, and each track is written from the perspective of those fans or responses to them.

Today, the band slams out of the gate with a double dose of metal, offering up their brand new single ‘Gone’ along with its accompanying music video via the official Rise Of The Lion launch site, www.MMIRiseOfTheLion.com. Take a listen now and while visiting the site, check out the band’s three studio updates, as well as tour date information. Beginning today at the site, you can pre-order the album in digital, physical CD, and vinyl versions, as well as special pre-order packages including exclusive Rise Of The Lion shirts, necklaces, posters, and more!

“We wanted to release a video that showed the true bare bones of our band,” states frontman Levi Benton. “We really found ourselves on this new record and we felt we needed a video that had no bells and whistles and was just five guys jamming and thrashing. It also shows the creation of the album artwork, which is a real statement about MISS MAY I. The lion logo that is being tattooed represents our band as a whole.”

Levi adds, “‘Gone’ is about heartbreak and feeling like you are lost within that heartbreak. We know everyone has felt this, so as this record being letters back to our fans we wanted to address this. One too many times I have read a letter about someone feeling so broken they felt they felt like they couldn’t make it and that our music helped them find a way. This song is for them!”

The worldwide release of Rise Of The Lion will be supported by a brief headline tour of the United States this April and May, with support from For The Fallen Dreams. MISS MAY I’s “Up Close and Personal” Tour will stop in eight cities, including a closer in their home state of Ohio at Rock On The Range. Get this – each ticket price includes a copy of Rise Of The Lion hard copy CD!

After the resounding underground success of their debut full-length release Monument, MISS MAY I took a step beyond the metalcore world they had grown up in with the release of their album At Heart in 2012. The record, produced by renowned record producer Machine (Lamb Of God), proved to be one of the strongest and most surprising metal records of the last few years, spawning huge singles in the songs ‘Hey Mister’ and ‘Day By Day’. Entering the Billboard Top 200 charts in its first week at #32, At Heart saw the band embrace a more mainstream metal approach to their music. During their 2012 Vans Warped Tour main stage onslaught, the At Heart campaign made massive leaps, seeing MISS MAY I nominated for ‘Best New Talent’ award at the Revolver Golden Gods Awards, as well as headlining the Alternative Press 2012 Tour, and picking up support at Active Rock Radio for the first time. On the live side, the band was hand-picked for tours with the likes of Five Finger Death Punch, Killswitch Engage and Bullet For My Valentine.

LACUNA COIL Announce April 1 Release Of New Studio Album ‘BROKEN CROWN HALO’

Band Set For REVOLVER HOTTEST CHICKS IN ROCK TOUR With SICK PUPPIES, EYES SET TO KILL & CILVER

Tour To Run February 20 – March 20 In North America

LACUNA COIL are proud to announce the April 1, 2014 release of their new studio album ‘BROKEN CROWN HALO’ in North America (March 31 in Europe, Australia, New Zealand). The album is the band’s seventh studio effort, and the highly-anticipated follow-up to ‘Dark Adrenaline’, which was released in January 2012 and saw the band tour with acts including Megadeth, Motorhead, Volbeat and Sevendust after debuting at No. 15 on the Billboard Top 200 album chart.

The band will return to the road to introduce North America to ‘BROKEN CROWN HALO’ as part of the REVOLVER HOTTEST CHICKS IN HARD ROCK TOUR, which launches February 20 and features LACUNA COIL sharing a stage with SICK PUPPIES, Century Media Records labelmates EYES SET TO KILL, and CILVER. The tour launches in Wilmington, NC, and runs through March 20 in Anaheim, CA. See complete itinerary below, and visit www.hottestchickstour.com for additional details and VIP packages.

LACUNA COIL have this to say about ‘BROKEN CROWN HALO’:

“What conflict could run so deep that it takes you to the deepest corners of your inner world? Today we are surrounded by a lot of lies, aliases, and people acting like they are wearing an invisible crown – but you better have thick skin if you want to wear this crown! ‘BROKEN CROWN HALO’ is a cinematic album that could be the soundtrack of our days – it is a dark vision of a near future when survival is second nature, and failure is not something to be avoided, but rather cultivated with lessons learned along the way.

We set the bar pretty high with ‘Dark Adrenaline’ and it hasn’t been easy bringing our sound to the next level, but we have lived, learned and grown through a year full of personal issues and changes. We learned to be strong and get stronger, and we felt an inner vibe in this band that we haven’t felt before. We locked ourselves in an age-old studio in Milan, Italy, where history was strong and the past met with our future, vintage gear and the influence of classic Italian horror movies and bands like Goblin meeting the fresh and rough sounds of the modern world with unique and invigorating results. ‘BROKEN CROWN HALO’ is Lacuna Coil introducing a new order, and letting nothing stand in our way…”

LACUNA COIL were joined in their native Italy by producer Jay Baumgardner [P.O.D., Sevendust, Evanescence, Papa Roach] and engineer Kyle Hoffmann [P.O.D., Bush, Zebrahead]. ‘BROKEN CROWN HALO’ was mastered by Howie Weinberg, whose credits include Rammstein, Soundgarden, Nirvana, Deftones and Sheryl Crow.
