BEARTOOTH DEBUT ALBUM DISGUSTING OUT TODAY VIA RED BULL RECORDS

Posted in Artist Watch, Featured, New Music, News, Releases, Shows with tags , , , , , , on June 11, 2014 by Randy

Columbus, OH hardcore outfit Beartooth has released their debut full length album Disgusting today via Red Bull Records. Watch the video for new song “Beaten In Lips” here, watch an exclusive behind the scenes clip and stream the album here and buy the album here.

Written, performed, produced and mixed by 21 year-old Caleb Shomo, Disgusting shares equal inspiration with brutal metalcore as with old-school punk like The Ramones and the bombastic theatricality of Queen. The end result is a back-to-basics hardcore stomp interspersed with anthemic choruses that prompted Alternative Press to name Beartooth one of their ‘Bands You Need to Know in 2014’ and feature Caleb on their July issue cover.

More early praise for Disgusting:

“A breathless, bile-filled audio belch. Screams are instinctive, not stylized. Lyrics are like bloodstained diary entries…Equally emotional and exhilarating, Disgusting is a contender fordebut album of the year.”
Rock Sound
“A band to watch” – Revolver
Disgusting is a roller coaster ride of truth, rebellion and raw emotion guaranteed to seize the attention of skeptics and eager fans alike. 9/10.” – Outburn
“Trust us when we say they will be one of your favourite bands by the end of 2014.” – Big Cheese
“Set to be one of the year’s biggest new bands.” – Metal Hammer
“An absolutely exhilarating listen. 4 ½ stars” – Alternative Press
“The world’s best new band.” – Kerrang
“An onslaught of great riffs and catchy choruses…Shomo has done a fantastic job. 4 ½ stars.” HM

Beartooth began as a way for Caleb to blow off steam after leaving his role as front man for Attack Attack! Caleb and his hometown friends started jamming; hanging out in his basement studio and playing music for fun. They released an EP, Sick, and then hit the road, touring North America with August Burns Red, Memphis May Fire and others. In between support slots the five-piece headlined everywhere from basements to club shows, building a strong and devoted following. The EP’s accompanying music videos quickly accumulated almost 2 million views and set the stage for Disgusting.

Fresh from a UK & European tour with Of Mice & Men, Beartooth will be heading out on the entire length of this year’s Vans Warped Tour, which kicks off June 13th in Houston, TX.  Full tour dates are below.

SONIC SYNDICATE Posts Third In-Studio Trailer – New Album Out July 8, 2014 via Nuclear Blast

Posted in All Metal, Artist Watch, New Music, News, Previews, Releases, Videos with tags , , , , , , on June 11, 2014 by Randy

Anglo-Swedish modern metal powerhouse SONIC SYNDICATE have posted the third in-studio video trailer for the band’s upcoming self-titled, fifth album. Check it out at this location:  http://youtu.be/oahYekbZD-g

Commented the band: “It’s crazy, exciting, and mind-blowing to be back! The one thing we were looking forward to more than hitting the studio, was getting back on the road and seeing our fans, and now we have a killer new album to go out with! We can’t wait for you to hear the new material, and of course we’ll be ripping apart the stage with our favorite songs from all our albums! It is our personal mission to guarantee that these will be our most kick-ass, energetic and dynamic live shows yet. If you’ve seen SOSY live before then you’re gonna want to see the “Diabolical Tour of Art” as its gonna be bigger, better and more bad-ass. If you’ve never seen SOSY live before then now is the perfect time to join the party, and get to one of the cities we’re playing. Damn, this is gonna be good!”

The first single off the album, ‘Black Hole Halo’, can be viewed at http://youtu.be/7RxHJeKNXSQ

Also check out the studio trailer for more info:
Part #1 can be viewed here: http://youtu.be/MgWlvLrUjOc
Part #2 is available here: http://youtu.be/fAqC_WEYrcI

The album will be self-titled and is set to be released July 8, 2014 via Nuclear Blast.

Pre-order the album here: http://shop.nuclearblast.com/en/shop/item/groups/51000.1.html?article_group_sort_type_handle=rank&custom_keywords=sonic%20syndicate

Commented guitarist, main songwriter and founding member, Robin Sjunnesson“We decided to go with this one as a “Self-Titled” release. Mainly because as an album we have put everything we’ve got into it. All of our experience as musicians, the evolution of the music, the sound from all eras of the band, and also the road we have taken as people. This is us, this is Sonic Syndicate in all its beauty and destruction. It shows our strength, our love for melody, our scars, our energy. The cover art is a definite representation of that. In the background, a battle-torn city laid to waste, four figures emerging together with only each other to depend on in an environment so harsh, only those with a tough heart, body and soul can survive. The tone throughout this album is definitely darker, and as my Swedish family would say “With a red-line running in the middle” so we put this into the colour-scheme. We could not be more proud of this album, and we thank our fans for the support, it’s because of them that we’re here. This album is for you.”

Sonic Syndicate will also feature a guest appearance by SOILWORK‘s gifted vocalist Björn “Speed” Strid on the track ‘Before You Finally Break’.

Commented singer Nathan James Biggs“I’m honored to call Speed a friend. I’ve been a big SOILWORK fan for years. Those guys were a massive hand in crafting that trademark Swedish sound so it made perfect sense to ask Speed when we knew we wanted to do a song with guest vocals. Performance wise I think we have similar styles and execution, but at the same time we both have our own thing going on so the voices compliment each other to great effect. My idea was also to have a real battle between our vocals. I hate it when you have these “featuring” songs and the guest just pops up for a chorus and then does backing vocals for a while in the verse or something. This is a real fight between us for the mic and I’m sure people are gonna appreciate that.”

The album will include a total of 11 tracks while the limited edition digipak will feature no less than 3 bonus tracks on top.

01. Day Of The Dead

02. Black Hole Halo

03. Long Road Home
