German power metal legends PRIMAL FEAR are gearing up for the release of their new album “Unbreakable” this January. Recently the band shot a video in Nurnberg, Germany for the song “Bad Guys Wear Black”. Today the video is being premiered on Frontiers’ Records official YouTube Channel. Watch it HERE.

Unbreakable” combines the skills of the strongest PRIMAL FEAR line-up ever, with a well-balanced “back to the roots” vibe and an ambitious learning process that took place during their longest tour so far. Classic and ultra-fresh PRIMAL FEAR riff-rockers like “Strike”, “Give Em Hell” or the high speed track “And There Was Silence” will hit the bulls-eye, like the rhythm paced metal anthem, first single and new video clip “Bad Guys Wear Black”. Less experiments, more rock! But there will be a nine-minute epic journey with prog approach named “Where Angels Die”, a classic wonderful ballad “Born Again” and the melodic power bomb “Metal Nation”. Singer Ralf Scheepers adds: “the plan was to record an album for the fans with rough metal riffs, screaming vocals and good melodies …… and finally it became a monster – a tough ‘bang-your-head’ metal album called “Unbreakable“.
Magnus Karlsson and Alex Beyrodt are worldwide respected guitarists – together they are unbeatable! Ralf Scheepers vocal performance shines brightly on a new level on the new album. And what can go wrong if you’re backed by one of the best rhythm sections in metal with Randy Black and Mat Sinner? Plus backing vocals by the “Fantastic Four”: Ralf Scheepers, Mat Sinner, Erik Martensson and Oliver Hartmann. You can hear the results on Primal Fears new statement called “Unbreakable“!

Unbreakable” was produced by Mat Sinner, engineered and mixed by Achim Koehler at the House Of Music studios and some more studios in Germany & Sweden between the summer and autumn of 2011 and will include the following tracks:

Fans and supporters alike are flocking to GOLDEN STATE’s Facebook page posting comments, praise and eagerly awaiting the opportunity to purchase the song.

GOLDEN STATE had this to say, “Thank you to the fans and Ron Paul 2012 supporters out there. The response has been overwhelming. Everyone is asking when we will be putting the ‘Bombs’ song out on iTunes, and the reason we’ve been holding back is we’d like to work with the Ron Paul crew to officially put it out so that the proceeds can go to his campaign.”

New Music: MicLordz & Sauce Funky

Posted in Artist Watch, New Music, News, Videos with tags , , , , , , , , on November 11, 2011 by Randy

Listening to MicLordz & Sauce Funky is like getting punched in the face by Awesome…but seeing MicLordz & Sauce Funky LIVE? That’s more like getting baseball batted in the face…by Awesome.

Miclordz & Sauce Funky (MLSF) formed in Windsor, Ontario, during the fall of 2006. An amalgamation of an existing hip-hop act and three outside muscians, the fivesome came together from diverse musical backgrounds, but with a common goal – to play legendary live shows and to push themselves to new heights.

Over the last five years the group has made it their business to grind: a business that they have grown to excel at. This work ethic has garnered them an array of D.I.Y. successes, and also left them with a reputation for being professional, reliable and dedicated, making them a favourite among promoters, tour managers, club owners, producers, and fans alike. They’re live shows are second to none, with an energy that is unrivalled and uncompromised, an energy that never dwindles or stutters, whether they’re rocking for 1000 people or 10.

The sound is an extraordinary hybrid of rock, hip-hop and funk, often likened to raw collision of Red Hot Chilli Peppers and Rage Against The Machine. It is bursting with an undeniable edge that grabs the audience, whether witnessing the live event or listening at home. The group continues to write these high-energy songs while encompassing ever-stronger song writing techniques that are helping their music find mass appeal, while never losing touch with their roots, their fans, or their reasons for making music in the first place.

In April/May of this year Miclordz & Sauce Funky entered the studio again, more prepared than ever with true songwriting in mind as they laid it down. They are armed with new songs that truly represent their talent, creativity, and professionalism. We are sure you’ll agree.

The music is real. The band is real. Their story and struggle is real. Allow yourself a pat on the back, for you have stumbled upon a gem. Welcome to the world of MLSF.

New Music: The Things They Carried

Posted in Artist Watch, New Music, News, Videos with tags , , , , , on November 3, 2011 by Randy

Long Island’s The Things They Carried, or 3TC as they are affectionately called by their hometown fans, is a band on a mission. After recording their first EP “Attention Crisis” in spring of 2009, the band hit the road with a vengeance touring the east coast for just over a year. By summer of 2010 3TC knew it was time to head into the studio again and make a record. “We wanted to create something that all of us were equally excited about. We wanted every song to be as good as the next, no fillers!” singer/songwriter Steve Schwartz explains. The band headed to Shoreline, Washington just outside of Seattle to work with famed producer Casey Bates (Chiodos, Pierce The Veil, Isles and Glaciers, Fall of Troy). With Casey on board the band knew that this record would be exactly everything they wanted and everything that there fans would hopefully want.

Released on Dec.17th 2010. The album titled “There’s Something I Can’t Tell Anyone” talks about many issues that people can relate to whether it be a relationship gone sour, feeling like you don’t belong, a secret that you’re afraid to share with anyone, or self image issues. “I like to write about issues that people don’t really talk about and keep locked inside” explains Steve Schwartz. 3TC

has definitively created a sound they can call their own, while including aspects that fans love to hear. The band’s ability to switch from intense screaming and heavy breakdowns to epic sing along choruses will keeping you asking, “What’s Next?” Live, 3TC, leaves it all on the stage. “Without an amazing live show to back up a record, you can’t really move forward” says drummer Andy Illiano.

With a 2011 tour in the works The Things They Carried are focused on making their mark and continuing to write music that they are proud of and hopefully inspires others. The bands philosophy is best summarized by frontman Steve Schwartz: “Music, we believe is about taking risks, putting yourself out there, and hopefully people grab on to it.”
