LP RECHARGE is set in the not-too-distant future where humans have depleted all natural resources on the planet and what little energy stores remain have been seized by machines and an elite minority. Players join cooperatively to battle their captors and recharge the world with clean energy. Watch the game trailer here: http://bit.ly/ZfsbGZ.
Sustainable energy has been a priority for Linkin Park, whose non-profit charity organization Music For Relief provides aid to people affected by natural disasters via environmental and clean energy projects. Music for Relief’s environmental program, Power The World, was created to bring attention to the 1.5 billion people who lack electricity, which compromises their health, safety, education and livelihoods. LP RECHARGE reflects these concerns through thrilling gameplay adventures.
In addition to saving the world, LP RECHARGE allows players to unlock the exhilarating new LINKIN PARK x STEVE AOKI song, “A LIGHT THAT NEVER COMES.” Check out the song teaser at: http://bit.ly/16HWcZT and REGISTER FOR THE GAME at: http://bit.ly/LPRechargeSignup to hear more and get a head start on playing LP RECHARGE!
In all honesty, all that can be said about this tour is “WOW!” A solid line up from start to finish. Veteran acts like Darkest Hour and Killswitch Engage to one of the hottest up and coming metalcore acts in the last few years, Miss May I. Cleveland Ohio’s stop on the tour was near the end, and with all the intensity that every single act put forth one can only imagine how nuts the first leg of the tour had to of been.
On to the most seasoned act on this tour, Darkest Hour; these guys have been together since 1995. Yes 1995. That means most of the guys they were playing with on this tour were barely out of diapers when Darkest Hour signed with their first label. With that being said, you never would’ve known because they came out on stage and put a heartfelt effort in and went just as hard, if not harder in some regards than the rest of the other bands. Playing new fan favorites like “Love as a Weapon” and “Demons” to some old school metalcore such as “An Epitaph” and “The Saddest Nation.” There was a little something in their set that can appeal to metal heads no matter what age. Speaking of these older metalcore bands that have paved the way, there is one thing that The Word Alive did during their set that has to be mentioned. As most of you know, Tim Lambesis is currently not allowed to leave the state of California due to some unforeseen circumstances and had to cancel going on this tour, which left The Word Alive filling the void for As I Lay Dying. Regardless of how that predicament turns out, no one can take away what good As I Lay dying has done for metal and The Word Alive showed their appreciation by playing a cover of As I Lay Dying’s hit “94 Hours.” Much respect goes to The Word Alive for doing so as a way to show thanks to someone who has inspired them musically. Last but not least, Killswitch Engage put on a killer show, especially with the crazy stage antics of Adam D. Let us take a minute to welcome back Jesse Leach (original vocalist for KSE). They played it all during this show, old time favorites like “Fixation of the Darkness” from Jesse’s first stint with the band, to hits that were made popular when Howard Jones was in.
This tour was amazing and if you didn’t make it, well you certainly missed out. Hopefully these bands will tour again together someday…but if they don’t, everyone in this line up is worth the price of admission. Keep an eye out for the next time any of them come to a city near you.

Grammy Award-winning multiplatinum hard rock innovators KORN will unveil their 11th studio album, THE PARADIGM SHIFT, in stores and via digital retailers on October 1, 2013 on Prospect Park.
THE PARADIGM SHIFT marks the emotional return of co-founding guitarist Brian “Head” Welch for his first album with KORN since 2003‘s Take a Look in the Mirror, and it serves as the follow-up to the band’s 2011 critically acclaimed trend-setting dubstep metal hybrid, The Path of Totality, which debuted Top 10 on the Billboard Top 200 chart and was named Revolver Magazine‘s “Album of the Year.”
THE PARADIGM SHIFT is also KORN’s first time working with super producer Don Gilmore [Linkin Park’s The Hybrid Theory, etc.] who recorded the album with the band at Buck Owens’ studio in their original hometown Bakersfield and at Los Angeles‘s famed NRG Recording Studios. They initially announced Head‘s return via a captivating clip on RollingStone.com and went on to discuss the reunion together in this in-depth interview on ARTISTdirect.com.
The rock luminaries recently embarked on their reunion run stateside headlining the sold out Rock on the Range Festival which drew over 40,000 fans in Columbus, OH and making stops at Rocklahoma and more. Currently, they are raging across Europe, playing coveted main stage spots at Download, Rock am Ring, Rock im Park, and more.
THE PARADIGM SHIFT holds a special significance for these musicians. Guitarist James “Munky” Shaffer explains, “It’s a term encompassing different perspectives. You can view a piece of art from one angle and it takes on a certain image. If you look from another angle, it’s a completely different image. We liken that to KORN in 2013. With Head back in the fold, all of the elements fans have loved since day one are there, but we’re interpreting them from a new perspective. It’s a bigger, brighter, and bolder KORN.”
Be prepared for another staggering, seismic and soaring offering from KORN.
