TEXAS IN JULY ANNOUNCES FALL TOUR WITH AFTER THE BURIAL

Posted in All Metal, News, Shows, Videos with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , , , on August 7, 2014 by Randy

Pennsylvania metal band Texas In July will join After The Burial on a fall headlining tour, which kicks off on September 13th in Moorhead, MN. The band will be touring as direct support behind their highly anticipated full-length record, Bloodwork, which is due out on September 16th via Equal Vision Records. Tickets for the tour are on sale now at http://soundrink.com/front/tour/after-the-burial.

Texas In July recently announced the impending release of their fourth studio album, Bloodwork, and debuted a video for their song “Broken Soul.” The new song and upcoming album marks the band’s first record with their new singer, JT Cavey, who has reinvigorated the band with his brutal screams and cathartic vocals.
With the addition of Cavey, along with cohorts Adam Gray (drums), Chris Davis (guitar) and Ben Witkowski (bass), Texas In July approached the recording of Bloodwork with a new sense of purpose and direction, holding nothing back as they unleashed some of the heaviest riffs and aggressive music the band has ever written. The result is nothing short of a torrential downpour of neck-snapping metal that will rain down on fans next month.
The band is currently on the road in Europe with IWRESTLEDABEARONCE and will return in September for the fall’s most brutal tour with After The Burial. Get tickets now!

Texas In July: The Review

Posted in All Metal, Artist Watch, News, Releases, Reviews with tags , , , , , , , , , on October 22, 2012 by Randy

The album explodes with the blistering tune “Cry Wolf,” which consists of every sound they have used in the past, just more refined. Vocalist Alex Good hasn’t let up one bit on his eardrum pounding vocals, but has added a toned down raspy growl accentuated by screams and a bit of a yell on the side…still bringing the intensity and passion.  The magnificent guitar work that is displayed on this album is like nothing they have ever done before.  Christian Soyer and Chris Davis have busted out a melodic sound on a majority of the songs.  “Crux Lust” and the single “Bed of Nails” are just brutal, technical songs, that highlight another instrumental aspect that makes TIJ one of the best metal bands on the charts: the beats laid down by drummer Adam Gray.

Texas In July” might just be one of the best albums released this year, currently holding its own near the top with a highly notable band, As I Lay Dying.  So cash your paycheck, get to the store (or iTunes) and purchase this beautiful work of art that will keep your head banging for hours.
