Artist Watch: The Fuse

Posted in Artist Watch with tags , , , on July 5, 2011 by Randy

Previously known as Lato, the band has been through many highs and lows in their career ranging from being offered a $250,000 record deal in the USA which was dogged with deaths and affairs.  This finally resulted in the label going under and the band having to self-fund there own way home from America .
After deciding to make a fresh start, the band changed their name to The Fuse and released their debut album under the new name titled Freedom Of The City.  Since the album release, The Fuse have transcended from performing to 3 people at a gig in London , to supporting UB40 in Holland to a crowd of 2,500.  They have also received over 50,000 plays on YouTube and other video platforms, with various radio stations around the world now picking up on their unique sound.

Florida’s Own AUDIO HAMMER STUDIOS Churns Out Over 41,000 Records Combined Sold This Week

Posted in News with tags , on July 1, 2011 by Randy

L to R, The Team of AUDIO HAMMER STUDIOS:

Jason Suecof, Ronn Miller, Mark Lewis, Eyal Levi

This week alone, famed-producer and new GOOD FIGHT ENTERTAINMENT Production Division team member Jason Suecof and his studio, AUDIO HAMMER STUDIOS in Sanford, FL, have churned out a staggering 41,000 records combined sold! Just this year, AUDIO HAMMER STUDIOS has been responsible for recording and producing some of metal’s top records, including Trivium’s In Waves, August Burns Red’s Leveler (debuted at #11 last week on the Billboard Top 200), The Black Dahlia Murder’s Ritual (debuted at #29 last week on the Billboard Top 200), Unearth’s Darkness In The Light, Charred Walls Of The Damned’s upcoming album, and many more. Coming up this year, the studio will be behind the boards for several more of today’s hottest bands in the metal realm.

“What can a man with crazy legs say, I’m stoked,” states Suecof. “It’s so cool to me that all of my friends get to work together and make music, and then sometimes you have an awesome week like we did this week, and I’m so proud of everyone that was involved! I personally could not have done it without the hard work of Mark Lewis, who produced The Black Dahlia Murder, Eyal Levi who engineered the August Burns Red and The Black Dahlia Murder mix with me, and of course Ronn Miller (additional engineering, DVD/VIDEO), and Jeremy Frost, guitar set-ups for AUDIO HAMMER STUDIOS and beyond! Thanks to everyone involved with this album. Good Fight, Metal Blade, Tooth & Nail, and Solid State Records, and of course thanks to the fans because without them we have no one to make music for!”

Eyal Levi of metal band Daath recently partnered with Suecof to expand the AUDIO HAMMER STUDIOS. A magnificent drum room, new control room, and guest quarters for bands have been added. The studio is now located on a six acre compound, now featuring a total of three control rooms,  two live rooms, and more. More expansions plans are underway. Trivium’s Colin Richardson christened the room for the band’s upcoming record, In Waves, and called it, “the best drum room he’s worked in to date”. Check out a video of August Burns Red using the new drum room here:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PGSPsIc4u9k

BLUE OCTOBER RETURN AUGUST 16th WITH NEW RELEASE ANY MAN IN AMERICA, DEBUTS HEARTFELT MUSIC VIDEO FOR “THE FEEL AGAIN (STAY)” First Single “The Chills” Available On iTunes, U.S. Tour Kicks Off on August 17th

Posted in News with tags , , on June 22, 2011 by Randy

In support of their upcoming album, platinum-selling band Blue October has released the touching video for “The Feel Again (Stay).”  Directed by Merritt Fields, “The Feel Again (Stay)” is one of Blue October’s most truthful and haunting videos to date and gives fans a taste of the new album, Any Man In America, set for release August 16th on singer Justin Furstenfeld’s own Up/Down Records. If you’ve already heard the first single, “The Chills”, currently at radio, be sure to watch  the video for “The Feel Again (Stay)” for a glimpse at the musical diversity that has won over fans around the world.  The song went live on iTunes this week and the fan reaction shows that the band has once again touched listeners, as only they know how.  The song is available for $.99 and can be purchasedhere.

With Father’s Day right around the corner, “The Feel Again (Stay)” could not be more relevant as lead singer and loving father Justin Furstenfeld chronicles the dissolution of his marriage and separation from his daughter.  “I was separated at the time, and my daughter was in Nebraska while I moved back to Texas alone,” Furstenfeld explains. “I decided to document everything. If I messed up along the way, I’d tell that too.  I called the album my ‘Audio Journal’ as I was writing. I didn’t want the music to just be about me though. I wanted it to help other fathers in America who might be going through the same thing.”

In addition, “The Chills,” the debut single from Any Man In America, is available on iTunes and can be purchased here.  The song will also be going for adds at modern rock radio with an official impact date of June 28th, but is already receiving early spins nationwide based on the band’s previous radio success.

Any Man In America is an album that takes the listener on a cathartic journey and chronicles the deeply personal events that have transpired in Furstenfeld’s life. The album was produced by Furstenfeld (who produced the band’s platinum album Foiled), alongside Tim Palmer who is known for his work with Robert Plant, Pearl Jam, and U2. Any Man In America is the follow-up to 2009’sApproaching Normal and is the 7th studio album in the band’s 16-year history.

After years of relentless touring, the band exploded into the mainstream with their hit single “Hate Me.”  The song, from their 2006 release Foiled, garnered the band a new fan base when it catapulted to the top of the modern rock charts.  That album went on to sell 1.6 million copies and the band continued their success at Modern Rock radio with the Top 10 hit “Dirt Room” from Approaching Normal.  Blue October will kick off a U.S. tour on August 17th in their home state of Texas.
