After 3 years of extensive touring with some of rock’s biggest acts (Motley Crue, AC/DC, Buckcherry, New York Dolls), THE LAST VEGAS are back in action with their latest single, “The Other Side”. Last week the band premiered their new video for “The Other Side” and this week TLV brings to you an exclusive free “sneak peek” into their EP.

THE LAST VEGAS‘ previous full-length, “Whatever Gets You Off” was one of iTunes Top 15 Rock Albums of the Year (2009) alongside Pearl Jam, The Dead Weather, Them Crooked Vultures and The Black Crowes. The debut single, “I’m Bad”, hit over 300 thousand downloads on iTunes in the first week and was named iTunes Rock Single of the Year.

EVANS BLUE PARTS WAYS WITH DRUMMER HOWARD DAVIS AND HITS THE STUDIO TO RECORD ALBUM FOUR

Traverse City MI (9 November 2011) – Rock band EVANS BLUE announced this week that they have parted ways with drummer Howard “H-Bomb” Davis.  When asked about the split, singer Dan Chandler said, “We seemed to be moving in different directions musically, so we mutually agreed that it was time to move on.  We wish Howard all the best.”

St Louis native Mike McClure, a longtime friend of Chandler, will step in to play drums on the new album.  McClure makes his debut on the new Dan Korneff (Breaking Benjamin, Papa Roach, All That Remains) mix of the first single “This Time It’s Different,” which will be available next week.

“This Time It’s Different” is available on iTunes now, and Evans Blue will release another brand new track in time for Christmas, with their fourth album coming in early 2012.  In the meantime, the band has announced two December dates:

Evans Blue debuted at #1 on the Billboard Heatseekers chart in 2006 with The Melody and the Energetic Nature of Volume, which spawned the Top 5 single “Cold (But I’m Still Here).”  They were nominated for a 2006 Juno Award for Best New Group.  Their second album, THE PURSUIT BEGINS WHEN THIS portrayal OF LIFE ENDS, was released in July 2007 and debuted at #44* on the Billboard Top 200.  Album 3, the self-titled evans|blue, was released independently in June 2009, and “Erase My Scars” went to #23* on the Billboard rock charts in 2010.  Evans Blue has sold 1 million units worldwide.

JORDAN RUDESS OF DREAM THEATER TO PLAY AN INTIMATE SOLO PERFORMANCE ON SATURDAY, NOV. 12 AT THE IRIDIUM IN NEW YORK CITY

DREAM THEATER keyboardist extraordinaire JORDAN RUDESS has announced a rare solo appearance Saturday, November 12 at The Iridium in New York City.

Rudess–who is on a brief break from Dream Theater’s world tour in support of their new album A DRAMATIC TURN OF EVENTS–will be playing a mix of improvisations and covers on the piano and synthesizer.  For this performance he will also perform on his critically acclaimed iPad apps: MorphWiz (which won “Best Music Creation App” at the Billboard App Awards in 2010), SampleWiz and his newest app, the Geo Synthesizer, which was released just two weeks ago.

Rudess will be playing two sets–one at 8:00 PM and one at 10:00PM. Each show is $35. The show will be an exciting chance for fans to see Jordan Rudess in an intimate setting, since the The Iridium only seats 200 fans.

About DREAM THEATER:

Progressive metal band Dream Theater formed in 1985 under the name Majesty by John Petrucci, John Myung and Mike Portnoy. Though a number of lineup changes followed, the three original members remained together along with James LaBrie and Jordan Rudess until September 8, 2010, when Mike Portnoy left the band.
