VEARA on God Save the States Tour – Erie, PA 12/20/2013

The God Save the States Tour, headlined by Major League, also consisted of two other awesome Pop-Punk bands (VEARA and Stickup Kid), that spread across various East Coast cities in just a short two week period. On Friday, December 20, 2013, the three bands stopped in Erie Pennsylvania for a late night party. Unlike most shows, this didn’t have an early start time. The first local band didn’t take the stage ‘til nearly 10pm, and Major League didn’t wrap up their set ‘til 2am. That being said, not a single band let the time become a factor…they didn’t care how late they were on and played their hearts out, making sure every single person in the venue had the time of their life.

The Rock Tribune popped in on behalf of VEARA, and we couldn’t be more proud of the fact that they were the band we were there supporting. Down to earth, no rock star ‘tude, some of the nicest folks you’ll meet type of dudes. Nestled in between Stickup Kid and Major League, they gave every bit of who they were to the crowd…to the point they could barely set down their instruments and walk off the stage. A lot of the tunes they played were off of their most recent album titled “Growing Up is Killing Me,” which is amazing regardless if it’s live or on disc. If you’re remotely interested in any form of Punk-Rock/Pop-Punk, this is certainly an album you should check out.

Needless to say, if you haven’t had a chance to see VEARA or any of the other bands that were part of this tour, you missed out…so keep an eye open for the next time they all come to a city near you. Also, big thanks goes out to Jamie and everybody else who helps make Erie Entertainment what it is…if it wasn’t for them, the Northwestern Pennsylvania area wouldn’t have had the number of great shows it’s recently had.

ROTTING OUT ANNOUNCES U.S. HEADLINING TOUR

Posted in News, Shows with tags , , , , , , , , on January 8, 2014 by Randy
LA hardcore/punk band Rotting Out has announced they’ll be hitting the road this spring for their first ever headlining U.S. run, “The Wrong Way Tour 2014.”  The tour, which kicks off in Anaheim, CA on February 21st and wraps up at the Self Help Fest in San Bernardino, CA on March 22nd, will include supporting acts No Bragging Rights, The Beautiful Ones and Heart to Heart.  VIP pre-sale tickets will go on sale Friday, January 10th at Show Stubs and  tickets available to the general public go on sale Tuesday, January 14th.
Rotting Out  is currently on tour in support of their latest album The Wrong Way, which was released by Pure Noise Records in December.  The band’s new record recalls the youthful heyday of SoCal punk legends Suicidal Tendencies and Pennywise while giving a gritty shot of unadulterated angst and aggression to LA’s burgeoning hardcore scene with neck snapping speed and reckless abandon on tracks like “No Clue.”
The band will take their snarling skate punk to South America later this month for a headlining tour before returning to the U.S.  Follow Rotting Out now at https://www.facebook.com/RottingOutLA for news and updates.

ALL TIME LOW Announce Album Pre-Order & Headlining Tour “The Rock Show At The End Of The World”

Posted in Artist Watch, New Music, News, Releases with tags , , , , , , , on September 24, 2012 by Randy

The 4-piece pop-punk band, All Time Low, have announced their new album Don’t Panic out October 9th, 2012 on Hopeless Records available for pre-order here. Tickets for the upcoming headlining tour “The Rock Show At The End of the World” are available for purchase at www.AllTimeLow.com. Additionally, the band has revealed an album trailer with a sneak peak at a few of the songs off of Don’t Panic that you can watch here: smarturl.it/DPtrailer

With this record, a big part of the process was finding what made our band special on each of our past records,” says singer/guitarist Alex Gaskarth. “This time around, rather than taking influence from anything we were listening to at the time-or anything we want to touch on generationally-the goal was to make an album that we felt reflected the best aspects of our previous releases.

All Time Low (consisting of Gaskarth, lead guitarist Jack Barakat, bassist Zack Merrick and drummer Rian Dawson) albums’ first single For Baltimore debuted last week on AltPress.com to high praise. The track is an intricate combination of several distinct styles-spinning-top electric riffs, hard-charging chorus breakdowns and a tasteful, acoustic-driven bridge-which you can purchase on itunes here:  smarturl.it/FBitunes.”I’ve never really heard a song that Alex has written or we’ve written and not been completely stoked on it,” says Dawson. “But for some reason, these just felt more us. There was less need to force anything, less need to prove anything, less need to chase anything. It was All Time Low writing All Time Low songs.

The “The Rock Show At The End of the World” tour features The Summer Set, Downtown Fiction and Hit The Lights. On three select shows, The Early November will be performing instead of The Summer Set**. Tour kickoff starts Friday, October 12th inNew Jersey.
